The North Butler Community School District and Clarksville Community School District School Boards have named Bryan Boysen as the districts’ next shared superintendent.
Boysen most recently served as superintendent and elementary principal in the Kenyon-Wanamingo School District in Wanamingo, Minnesota. In this role, he oversaw district operations, supervised all staff, and successfully led an operational referendum approval in 2021. Additionally, Boysen is a member of the American Association of School Administrators and the Minnesota Association of School Administrators.
Boysen holds a master’s degree from Hamline University and anticipates a doctoral degree in education from Winona State University in August of 2024. Prior to his most recent position, Boysen served as superintendent and elementary principal of Lyle Public School in Minnesota.
"It was an honor and a privilege to interview in such wonderful school buildings yesterday. The whole process was seamless and welcoming to me,” said Boysen. I so look forward to serving the communities of the North Butler and Clarksville school districts!"
Board members worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to conduct the search. Boysen interviewed with interview groups consisting of parents, teachers, and community members on February 12, 2024.
Boysen will officially begin leading the North Butler and Clarksville CSDs effective July 1, 2024.
Registration for the new school year is officially open! For directions on how to complete registration, follow the link below to the how-to slideshow.
NB is now participating in Skip the Trip. This allows students to test that is required to obtain a driver’s instruction permit right here at NB instead of making the trip to an Iowa DOT or local county treasurer’s office to complete the test. This allows students to take the test in a familiar and comfortable environment and saves parents and students time away from school by potentially reducing the number of trips to the DOT or courthouse. Students can see Mrs. Lamborn to schedule a time to take the test.
To be eligible, a student must be enrolled with a participating school or agency, be 14 years old or older and cannot currently hold an Iowa instruction permit.
Students who pass the knowledge test at their school will be sent an email verifying their passing results which can be taken to any county or state location in Iowa that issues driver’s licenses along with other required documentation to prove their identity.
